I had been wanting to try out Soap & Glory's skincare range for a while now, as I have been thoroughly impressed by the bath & body, and makeup range, so when I saw Soap & Glory The Fab Pore with 1/3 off the price at Boots I grabbed it!
I love their packaging it is really cute, vintage and girly. The tub itself is made out of rubber covered plastic, like Nars packaging, but it is white. It looks very sleek and pretty, I love the packaging. You get 50ml of product for £10.00, however every time I see it in Boots its always on offer for £6.67.
I have oily skin but it can be flaky if not exfoliated regularly, so the peel factor of the mask appealed to me, but do not be fooled! This is completely a thick cream like mask, there is no peeling involved. The mask is a light mint green cream and there are small blue micro beads that give a gentle exfoliating while massaging the product in, there is also a slight minty scent.
I take a grape size amount and massage it into my face, focusing the product on my t-zone as this is where it gets really oily, and is more spot prone. It is a good consistency to apply and is not as messy t as other face masks to remove. It also tingles on the skin which carries on for a while after removing.
The product claims it is a must-have for "spot prone, greasy skinned girls", I disagree with this statement. I have been using this product twice a week for a couple of months now, this product has not reduced my pores, and has done very little to prevent spots or keep them away.
I used this face mask this morning at 6.45 and left it on for about 20 mins, which is longer then they recommend, at 4pm when I look in the mirror I am completely oily. Overall this has done nothing for my spots, pore or oily skin. This has left me extremely disappointed because I have loved everything else I have gotten from Soap & Glory.
From other reviews I have read apparently the older formula was much better and you got more for your money, I wish I could have tried that one.
Has this product worked for you? I have read many reviews on Boots that raved about this face mask, unfortunately everyones skin is different and this did not work for me. :(
